The Continuing Education Department at the University organised an awareness workshop on electronic blackmail, addressing its psychological and social impact on families, as well as its causes, types, consequences, and potential solutions and measures to address it.

The workshop was delivered by Lebanese activist Nariman Hussein and was attended by a large number of the University’s administrative and academic staff and female students.

Additionally, the workshop highlighted that the various methods used to carry out electronic blackmail continue to evolve alongside technological advancement. It also stressed the need to establish regulatory legislation to combat electronic blackmail and limit its prevalence.
