Al-Zahraa University for Women hosted the opening ceremony of the women’s activities of the Third International Kawthar Al-'Isma Festival on Wednesday, 3 January 2024, at Umm Abiha Hall. Additionally, the event was held under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine.

The festival was attended by Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women; Prof. Dr. Zahra' Nazem Bakaei, President of Al-Zahraa University in Tehran; the Director General of the National Women’s Affairs Directorate at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers; and a slew of prominent women leaders and influential figures.

The programme featured a range of activities, including a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a speech delivered by the President of the Forum. Furthermore, the video introducing the institutions of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine and their women’s departments was then screened. The programme also included a nasheed performed by Imam Hussein Holy Shrine’s Women’s Nasheed Ensemble, a theatrical performance depicting Lady Al-Zahra' (peace be upon her), and a selection of poetic recitations.

The said event concluded with the honouring of the mothers of martyrs, women who had contributed to the struggle, and pioneering women in various fields.
