Under the auspices and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, and commemorating the birth anniversary of Lady Zainab (peace be upon her), the Dormitories Department held a festive celebration on Monday, 20 November 2023, at Umm Abiha Hall.

The celebration was attended by Prof. Dr. Hawra' Al-Rub'ie, Vice President for Administrative Affairs; Sarah Mohammed Rasheed, Director of the Dormitories Department; social researcher Wala' Waleed; and a number of female students.

Additionally, the said event commenced with verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the recitation of Al-Fatihah in remembrance of the souls of the martyrs of Iraq. This was followed by a speech delivered by Prof. Dr. Al-Sultani in which she congratulated the attendees on this blessed occasion and emphasised the importance of drawing inspiration from the exemplary character and righteous path of Lady Zainab (PBUH).

The celebration continued with several activities presented by female students of the Department, including the recitation of a poem, a presentation on the character of the Lady, a recitation of Lady Zainab’s sermon, and a video presentation. Furthermore, the event concluded with a questions-and-competitions segment, accompanied by symbolic prizes.
