Al-Zahraa University for Women, represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Abd Al-Hussein Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, signed a joint cooperation mechanism with the Iraqi Women Empowerment Directorate at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.

The agreement, signed in Baghdad, includes supporting women’s efforts in achieving sustainable community development, as well as activating the role of conducting research, scientific studies, and statistical surveys concerning female students and young women within the country’s local context.

Prof. Dr. Al-Sultani expressed her renewed appreciation and pride in the efforts of the Director General of the Directorate, Dr. Yusra Kareem Mohsen Al-'Allaq, particularly her efforts in investing in women-focused activities and fostering community awareness aimed at sustaining women’s leading role across all fields, particularly in the academic field.

It is worth noting that the University has concluded a number of memoranda and joint cooperation mechanisms with specialised governmental and academic institutions as part and parcel of its future plans, which focus on strengthening the scientific and social role of female students and young women in society.
