Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President, received a delegation from the Jordanian My Communication Telecommunications Engineering Academy, which specialises in training engineering, teaching and student cadres in the field of telecommunications engineering. The delegation was headed by Dr. Ahmad Hamwi, the Academy’s authorised director in Iraq. Additionally, the said event comes as part and parcel of intensive preparations for the opening of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, one of the newly established faculties at the University, and in line with the University’s commitment to developing its teaching staff and female students.
The visit aimed to present the Academy’s proposals concerning staff training, the organisation of scientific workshops, the exchange of expertise between the University and the Academy, and the enhancement of mechanisms for scientific cooperation following the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology. The newly established faculty represents one of the University’s faculties keeping pace with global technological developments through its two departments: Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence.
