A delegation from Al-Zahraa University for Women, headed by Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of the University, visited the University of Tikrit. Additionally, the said event comes in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s vision of strengthening academic ties between Iraqi public universities and private higher education institutions, and as part and parcel of Al-Zahraa University for Women’s commitment to expanding scientific and academic cooperation with reputable universities.

The delegation was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Zuhair Mohammed Ali Al-Asadi, Vice President for Scientific Affairs; Prof. Dr. Ali J'afar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology Engineering; and Prof. Dr. Iman Sameer Bahiya, Dean of the Faculty of Education. The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. W'ad Mahmoud Al-Jubouri, President of the University of Tikrit, along with a slew of members of the University of Tikrit Council, on Wednesday, 18 October 2023.

Following a tour of the University of Tikrit’s facilities and laboratories, the two universities signed a scientific and academic cooperation agreement, particularly in areas of shared specialisation. The meeting also addressed mechanisms for establishing joint research teams involving academics from both universities, including those in the Faculties of Pharmacy and Engineering and the Department of Mathematics, as well as opportunities for exchanging scientific expertise in corresponding specialisations.
