Under the auspices of Prof. Dr Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President, the Arabic Language Integrity Unit at the Faculty of Education, Department of Arabic Language, in cooperation with the Department of Continuing Education at the University, organised a five-day training course entitled “Arabic Language Integrity” at Al-Kawthar Centre for Continuing Education at the University.

The training course aimed to develop the skills of employees and administrative staff and provide participants with the opportunity to acquire sound linguistic skills for proficient use of the Arabic language in both speech and writing. It also sought to familiarise participants with common linguistic and orthographical errors and ways of correcting them, while promoting accurate and clear expression. These objectives were intended to enhance participants’ skills and help them avoid common linguistic errors when drafting official correspondence or communicating in Arabic.

The course was delivered by Prof. Dr. Safa' Ubaid Al-Hafiz, Professor of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Education, University of Babylon. It concluded with an emphasis on developing linguistic and cultural competencies and continuing to organise Arabic language integrity courses for employees and various staff members, with the aim of improving the standard of written expression. It also highlighted the importance of sustained attention to linguistic and grammatical forms that should be avoided.
