In the presence of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President, the activities of the “Mahdavi Tent” were concluded at the University, in cooperation with the Centre for Specialised Studies of Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance), at Umm Abiha Hall on the University campus.

The closing ceremony included the recitation of a verse from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah in mourning for the souls of the martyrs of Palestine. The ceremony also featured a performance by the chanting group of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine.

This was followed by a speech delivered by Prof. Dr. Al-Sultani, in which she emphasised the importance of promoting Mahdavi culture and raising awareness of it. She also highlighted the University’s continuous efforts to support, promote, and embrace the Mahdavi cause.

Meanwhile, the Centre for Specialised Studies was represented by Mr. Ja’far Al-Qabbanji, the official in charge of the “Mahdavi Tent.” In his speech, he expressed his appreciation for the cooperation of the Presidency of Al-Zahraa University for Women and its staff, praising the significant support that contributed to the success of the “Mahdavi Tent” project and its goal of consolidating Mahdavi culture within university communities.

The ceremony also featured a lecture by His Eminence Al-Sheikh Zaman Al-Hasnawi, who spoke about the status and position of Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) in the Holy Qur’an. He explained that true anticipation of Imam Al-Mahdi lies in the practical application of the teachings and actions recommended by the Imams, adherence to the principles of Islam, and following the path of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

In his speech, Al-Sheikh Al-Hasnawi affirmed the importance of learning and reading cultural and scientific books in order to become equipped with the knowledge of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), as well as other fields of knowledge, to face contemporary challenges and contribute to building a generation of believers equipped with knowledge and learning.

The activities of the “Mahdavi Tent” festival concluded with the honouring of the organisers and female students who participated in the Mahdavi Tent’s competitions, activities, and programmes. The University Presidency and the Centre for Specialised Studies presented the organisers and participating female students with gifts, shields, and certificates of appreciation.
