The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at Al-Zahraa University for Women was established as part and parcel of the University’s ongoing efforts to provide high-quality education, keep pace with technological developments, meet the diverse needs of the labour market, and contribute to advancing knowledge and innovation in the field of technology.

The Faculty represents an important addition to the University’s educational and academic infrastructure. It aims to equip female students with in-depth knowledge and advanced skills in the fields of engineering and information technology.

The Faculty offers two of the most important and highly demanded specialisations:

Cybersecurity Department

The Department focuses on safeguarding data and electronic systems and combating cyber threats. Female students learn how to identify security vulnerabilities and protect networks and data from cyberattacks. The Department plays a crucial role in strengthening cybersecurity in an era of advanced information technology.

Artificial Intelligence Department

The Department focuses on the application of artificial intelligence technologies across a wide range of fields, including the development of intelligent applications, data analysis, robotics, machine learning, and human–machine interaction. It aims to enable female students to apply these technologies to real-world problem-solving and contribute to innovation in the field.
