The Department of English Language, Faculty of Education, at Al-Zahraa University for Women, in cooperation with the Department of Continuing Education, organised a scientific workshop entitled “Signifier–Signified Difference”.

The workshop was delivered by Asst. Lect. Mostafa Abbas Sahan on Saturday, 15 April 2023, at Al-Kawthar Centre for Continuing Education. Additionally, it was attended by a slew of academic staff members and female students from the aforementioned Department.

The workshop explored the concept of the signifier–signified difference, the relationship between the two, and the theoretical perspectives introduced by French theorists, drawing on approaches from literature, linguistics, and philosophy.
