As part of enhancing the practical aspect of the educational journey, the Department of Architecture at the College of Engineering and Information Technology organised a field visit for second-year female students to the new building project for the university expansion, as part of the scientific activities for the Building Assembly course. During the visit, the students observed the project implementation stages, from the foundation and structural work to the details of architectural execution. They also learned about the materials used, construction techniques, and discussed the engineering challenges faced in the field and how to tackle them. The students were accompanied by the course lecturer, M.Sc. Mariam Hussein Ali, along with site engineers who explained the architectural and structural plans and how they are executed. This scientific experience allowed the students to connect theoretical concepts with practical application, develop observation and analysis skills, and enhance their readiness for engineering work requirements.
