The College of Engineering and Information Technology, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Centre, organised a training course titled 'Basics of Leadership and Teamwork', presented by MSc Mayson Safi Yasser, the coordinator of the Department of Architectural Engineering, over three days. The course aimed to enhance academic leadership skills and teamwork, as well as develop participants' communication, conflict management, and decision-making abilities. 

Over three lectures, the course covered an introduction to leadership and basics of teamwork, effective communication skills, active listening, conflict management, shared leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making, with a focus on building integrated teams through responsibility distribution, promoting initiative, and providing a supportive work environment. 

The course emphasised applying leadership concepts in managerial and academic practices, turning conflicts into opportunities for constructive dialogue, and finding practical solutions to enhance teamwork efficiency, collaboration, and achieving common goals.
