College of Engineering Council Opens the Academic Year with a Review of Teaching Assignments and Workloads
The Council of the College of Engineering and Information Technology held its first meeting for the 2026–2027 academic year, chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Abdul-Hussein Al-Mulla, and attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hiba Jabbar Al-Aqabi, along with the heads of the scientific departments. The meeting focused on discussing academic preparations and the requirements for the commencement of the new academic year.
The session included a discussion of teaching assignments and the academic workload of the departments, as well as a review of the distribution of theoretical and practical courses among faculty members. The distribution was considered in accordance with academic specializations and the requirements of each course, with the aim of achieving a balanced allocation of teaching responsibilities.
The Council also discussed a number of academic and organizational requirements related to the start of the academic year, emphasizing the importance of organizing the educational process and ensuring that its necessary requirements are in place to support the smooth delivery of teaching in the scientific departments according to a clear and well-organized plan.
