Under the guidance and direct supervision of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University hosted the first meeting of the Central Qur’anic Examination Committee. Coordinated by the Qur’an Memorization Unit and held at Al-Aqila Hall, the meeting focused on mechanisms for assessing female Qur’an memorizers and procedures for admitting students seeking enrollment at universities affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.

 

The meeting addressed ways to overcome challenges facing female students who have memorized the Holy Qur’an and to facilitate their admission procedures. It also discussed mechanisms for benefiting from tuition fee reductions sponsored by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, with the aim of supporting these students and encouraging them to continue their Qur’anic and academic journeys.

 

The meeting was chaired by the Assistant President of the University for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Hassan Hadi Al-Qazzaz, and attended by Dr. Sheikh Khair Al-Din Al-Hadi, Director of the Dar Al-Qur’an Department and Chairman of the Ministerial Examination Committee for Qur’an Memorizers, as well as Ms. Noor Al-Abadi, Head of the Qur’an Memorization Unit at the University.

 

The committee discussed establishing a unified mechanism for Qur’anic examinations, reviewing the approved regulations and methods of calculating scores, and addressing challenges encountered by students. These measures aim to ensure fairness and accuracy in the examination process, honor female memorizers of the Holy Qur’an, and attract them to universities affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.

 

The meeting also explored a plan to develop students’ skills and organize a variety of Qur’anic programs to promote Qur’anic culture across the University. In addition, the committee discussed providing specialized staff to support students wishing to memorize the Holy Qur’an by assigning female instructors to conduct daily recitation sessions and continuously monitor their memorization progress.

 

At the conclusion of the visit, committee members toured a number of the University’s facilities and halls to learn more about the educational environment and services provided by Al-Zahraa University for Women, as well as its role in supporting Qur’anic programs and promoting Qur’anic culture among its students.
