Dr. Hassan Hadi Al-Qazzaz, Vice President of Al-Zahraa University for Women for Administrative and Financial Affairs, participated as a member of the examination committee for a master’s thesis submitted by Noor Idris Noor at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University. The thesis was entitled “Assessment of the Primary Healthcare Protocol and Referral Process for Pregnant Women to Al-Zahraa Hospital in Najaf Governorate.”

The thesis assessed the current state of primary healthcare services provided to pregnant women and the extent to which approved healthcare protocols and standards are followed. It also examined the mechanisms for referring pregnant women to hospitals and the role of adherence to healthcare and safety procedures in reducing the risks of pregnancy-related morbidity and mortality.

The study concluded that health centers follow up on the implementation of official protocols for maternal care and adhere to referring cases to hospitals in accordance with the rates and procedures stipulated in the official protocols. This contributes to enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided to pregnant women.
