Al-Zahraa University for Women and Sharif University of Technology in the Islamic Republic of Iran have explored the launch of a joint postgraduate program specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Generative Systems, in a step aimed at strengthening academic and research collaboration in emerging technology fields.

The discussions took place during a visit by a delegation from Al-Zahraa University for Women, headed by the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, and accompanied by Prof. Dr. Ghaida Abdul-Hussein Al-Mulla, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, to Sharif University of Technology. The two sides discussed mechanisms for implementing the program and its academic and technical requirements, as well as frameworks for cooperation between the two universities.

Prof. Al-Sultani emphasized that the proposed program reflects the university’s commitment to developing specialized graduate programs that keep pace with the rapid advances in artificial intelligence and generative systems. She noted that official approval for the program has been obtained from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, while academic and technical procedures are currently being completed in coordination with Sharif University of Technology. These efforts will pave the way for launching the joint program in accordance with approved academic regulations and accreditation requirements.

She further highlighted the importance of expanding scientific and research collaboration with leading universities, contributing to the development of students’ and researchers’ skills in emerging technological disciplines.

The proposed program is part of Al-Zahraa University for Women’s broader efforts to establish high-quality graduate programs specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Generative Systems, in line with the university’s commitment to advancing education and research in modern technological fields.
