As part of the Technology Corner activities at the Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Women procession (Mawkib), Shahznan Haider Hassan, a third-year student in the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, presented her innovative project, “My Little Muwali”, which leverages artificial intelligence to deliver an interactive educational experience designed specifically for children participating in the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
The platform allows parents or supervisors to submit a child’s name and photo through a Telegram bot. The system then transforms the child’s image into a cartoon character and places them at the center of a personalized interactive story featuring their name and likeness. Inspired by the values of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), the stories combine entertainment with meaningful educational content, encouraging children to develop a love for reading.
The project also includes interactive quizzes following each story to assess the child’s understanding, along with the ability to download the story as a PDF. This innovative educational experience demonstrates how artificial intelligence can support the message of Arbaeen while showcasing the creativity of the students of the College of Engineering and Information Technology in developing digital solutions that serve the community and reinforce the values of Imam Hussein among younger generations.
