The Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Al-Mulla, together with the college’s academic and administrative staff, participated in the opening ceremony of the fifth edition of the “Al-Aqsa Call International Conference,” held under the patronage of the General Secretariat of the Holy Imam Hussain Shrine. The conference brought together distinguished religious and intellectual figures, as well as delegations from several Islamic countries, reflecting the college’s active engagement in the scientific and intellectual events hosted by the university.

The conference featured speeches emphasizing the importance of unifying efforts in support of the Palestinian cause and drawing inspiration from the principles of the Husseini movement to uphold the values of truth, justice, and the defense of the oppressed. During the opening, the Secretary-General of the Holy Imam Hussain Shrine, Mr. Hassan Rashid Al-Abayji, welcomed the participating delegations, noting that holding the conference in the holy city of Karbala during the Arbaeen pilgrimage carries profound significance, symbolizing steadfastness and commitment to defending just humanitarian principles.
