The College of Engineering and Information Technology actively participated in the Fifth International Academic Forum of the Husseini Camp, organized under the patronage of the General Secretariat of the Holy Imam Hussein Shrine and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in cooperation with the Student Activities Department of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority and the Popular Mobilization Forces Medical Directorate. The forum was held under the supervision of the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, under the slogan: “Through You, O Hussein, We Have Triumphed.”

The forum was attended by the Secretary-General of the Holy Imam Hussein Shrine, Hajj Hassan Rashid Al-Abayji, the Head of the Religious Affairs Department at the Holy Imam Hussein Shrine, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Safi, along with a distinguished group of academic and official figures.

The Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaida Al-Mulla, attended the forum alongside the college’s administrative, academic, and media staff.

The event commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by speeches delivered by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Safi and the University President. The program also included the performance of the Nidaa Al-Aqeelah anthem and a documentary video showcasing the university’s Arbaeen service procession (Mawkib).

The forum also featured a panel discussion entitled “The Role of Academic Women in Husseini Service,” prepared and moderated by the Head of the College Media Division, media specialist Rabab Taqi. The session brought together a distinguished group of female academics and researchers from Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran to discuss the role of academic women in serving the Husseini cause, promoting the culture of volunteerism and social responsibility, and highlighting the contributions of university women in serving the visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

The final segment of the program featured the recitation of a poem by one of the university’s students.

The forum concluded with an honoring ceremony recognizing a number of distinguished individuals and participating institutions for their valuable contributions to the success of the event. Among those honored were the Dean of the College, in appreciation of her efforts in supporting the forum, the University’s Technology Corner within the Arbaeen service procession, and the Head of the College Media Division.
