Under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President, the Parks of Sciences and Technology Department at ZUW organised an introductory workshop entitled: “The National University Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications Championship (NURAI 2026)”.
The workshop was delivered by Lect. Dr.Ahmed Yahya Awwad Al-Khuza’i, the Head of the Parks of Sciences and Technology Department and Asst. Lect. Sarah Faiz Abd Al-Ghani. Additionally, it provided an overview of the championship, including its objectives and mechanisms for participation, as well as a review of prominent applications of artificial intelligence in robotics and modern technologies.
The workshop also addressed recent developments in AI applications and offered an explanation of how such technologies may be effectively utilised in the development of robotics projects. This reflects the rapid technological progress in the field and contributes to enhancing students’ technical and research skills, preparing them to engage competitively in national scientific forums.
This workshop forms part of the University’s broader efforts to support scientific and technological initiatives and to keep pace with the accelerating advancements in contemporary technologies. It further strengthens the University’s academic presence and contributes to the preparation of a generation equipped for innovation and scientific research.
