The Council of ZUW convened a meeting chaired by Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President, with the attendance of the Faculties’ deans and the Director of the Quality Assurance Department. The meeting addressed several academic and administrative matters to advance the University’s academic trajectory and strengthen institutional performance.
Additionally, the discussions emphasised the importance of reinforcing the academic quality assurance system and completing the requirements for both programmatic and institutional accreditation in accordance with recognised standards. It bears noting that such efforts are expected to contribute to elevating academic quality and enhancing the University’s standing in global rankings. The Council also underscored the need to support scientific research and encourage publication in reputable journals, thereby advancing the University’s scholarly output and academic reputation.
Furthermore, the meeting explored the University’s strategic direction towards digital transformation and the development of a smart University, through the integration of artificial intelligence technologies across educational, administrative, and research domains. This aligns with the rapid developments in the higher education sector. Besides, emphasis was placed on ensuring the regularity of the educational process and promoting the effective use of electronic systems and digital learning platforms.
This meeting comes as part and parcel of the Council’s ongoing commitment to improving institutional performance and enhancing the quality of education and research, in pursuit of its vision of achieving academic excellence and serving the wider community.
