The Smart Data Washer… a scientific workshop that helps organize information
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her) for Women, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Ghidaa Al-Mulla, Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, and in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center, the college organized a scientific workshop titled “Data Washer Technology System.” The workshop was presented by lecturer Eng. Dr. Owaad Kazem Abdul-Hassan, as part of supporting digital innovation and applied research.
The workshop introduced a preliminary design for an intelligent system to cleanse data using an unsupervised mechanism, focusing on correcting codes, removing duplicates, and linking non-standardized references through algorithms based on code frequency and advanced recording matrices. This contributes to transforming raw data into organized, usable data.
The workshop emphasized that this automated approach reduces the effort and time required for traditional data-cleaning methods, enhances the efficiency of building modern information systems, and sparked active scientific engagement among attendees, highlighting the importance of developing digital solutions that serve the labor market and Iraq’s digital transformation path.
