The Department of Digital Design Engineering at Al-Zahraa University (peace be upon her) for Women was established in 2025. It is considered one of the modern specializations that combines engineering knowledge with digital design skills and the development of interactive systems.
The department aims to prepare female engineers who are proficient in computing, programming, and design, and who are capable of building digital solutions that integrate technical efficiency with visual quality.
It focuses on equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in areas such as user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design, digital graphics, multimedia, and the development of applications and interactive environments, in alignment with labor market demands and digital transformation trends.
