As part of the practical component of the Plane Surveying course, second-year students in the Department of Architecture Engineering at the College of Engineering and Information Technology participated in a field training session outside the college building under the supervision of Lecturer Riyadh Al-Ilm Al-Mousawi. The session aimed to translate the theoretical concepts previously studied into practical skills in engineering surveying.

The training covered the proper use of the Level instrument, including its correct setup and adjustment, as well as the procedures for taking measurements using a leveling staff, calculating elevations, and conducting practical applications to determine the natural ground levels at the survey site.

This type of practical training is designed to strengthen the hands-on experience of Architecture Engineering students by linking theoretical knowledge with field practice, thereby enhancing their ability to operate surveying instruments and develop a deeper understanding of site conditions and engineering requirements.
