Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Iman Sameer Bahiyya, the College of Education / Department of Art Education, in cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division and the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Adolescence and the Art of Expression through Drawing.”
The workshop was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Awni Hadi Al-Rubaie. It addressed the definition of adolescence and its psychological and behavioral characteristics, as well as the importance of fine arts—particularly drawing—as an expressive medium that helps adolescents release emotions and enhance psychological balance.
The workshop witnessed positive engagement from participants and was enriched with valuable scientific discussions and interventions, reflecting the interest of students and academic staff in the topic. The event contributed to raising awareness of the importance of the arts as an effective educational and expressive tool in addressing adolescence, in line with the College’s objectives of supporting academic activities and fostering creative capacities.
